Adult Fellowship
Adult Fellowship
Adult Fellowship is made up of any adult in the Church who wishes to participate in family or adult outings and projects. Adult Fellowship provides funeral luncheons, and serves dinners upon request. Any profits made from these are donated to charities and Church projects. Although independent of the task forces, they do elect officers and the President is a member of Parish Council.
PROGRAM: Fellowship activities for adult members and their friends.
Meeting Date: Fourth or Fifth Wednesday 5:00 p.m.
Men’s Fellowship
Men’s breakfast fellowship is presently meeting at the Old Country Buffet in Wilkes-Barre. The purpose is for fellowship and learning of ways men serve the community and church.
PROGRAM: Fellowship and service activities for adult members and their friends.
Meeting Date: Third Saturday 8:00 – 9:15 a.m.
Women’s Fellowship
Women’s Fellowship is made up of all COCU women. It is independent of task forces and the President is a member of Parish Council. This organization is a very significant mission arm of our Church. It raises funds through member pledges and several other activities.
PROGRAMS: General mission support of United Methodist Women and Presbyterian Women; Wesley Village; Easter baskets, Christmas stockings and card project for Meals on Wheels. Sponsors bi-annual Fall Fair.
Meeting Date: First Tuesday—September through December & February through June for either a noon luncheon, 6:00 p.m. dinner or 7:30 p.m. meeting. Board meets second Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Morning Circle meets fourth Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at a member’s home or at a restaurant. Afternoon Circle meets third Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Lukens Lounge..
Dinner for Eight
Men and women interested in sharing a meal and fellowship sign up during the year. Individuals meet in homes or restaurants as arranged by group members.
Mary’s Group
Women meet for fellowship and dinner, at various restaurants, followed by bible study.
Meeting Date: Second Tuesday 5:15 p.m.
Abraham Group
Adult singles and/or couples meet for fellowship and dinner in members’ homes, on a rotating basis, followed by bible study.
Meeting Date: Fourth Friday 6:00 p.m.
Circle of Grace
Adult women meet for fellowship and book discussion at the church. Childcare is available.
Meeting Date: Tuesdays 1 p.m.
Lunch Bunch
Adult men and women meet for Bible study and fellowship at the church.
Meeting Date: Thursdays 11:30 a.m.
